Kenrokuen & Kanazawa Castle Light-up "Shiki Monogatari"
金沢城・兼六園四季物語(ライトアップ)
Winter editions on February Saturdays; also held each season (check dates) · 18:00〜21:00(入場は20:45まで)・入園無料
Several times a year, Kenrokuen — one of Japan's three great gardens — and the neighboring Kanazawa Castle Park open free of charge after dark for seasonal illuminations. The winter edition is the most famous — the yukitsuri ropes protecting the pines glow above the frozen pond, and the Kotoji lantern draws photographers in long queues. Arrive right at opening or near closing for shorter lines.
