Takojima Kiriko Festival
蛸島キリコ祭り
Usually September 10–11 (2026 details TBC)
The fishing village of Takojima at the very tip of the Noto Peninsula holds what many call the most beautiful kiriko festival — sixteen floats finished in lacquer and gold leaf with intricate carvings. The rare "Hayafune Kyogen" boat-play, performed on the second night, is a prefectural intangible cultural asset. It was the first kiriko festival in Suzu to restart after the 2024 earthquake.
