Nishigishi Fireworks Festival
西岸花火大会
August 15 (2025 edition started at 20:00)
Every Obon, the small lakeside community of Nishigishi in Nakajima holds its own fireworks festival with food stalls and live music by the station — which anime fans will recognize as the model for "Yunosagi Station" in Hanasaku Iroha. Local, intimate, and heartfelt, continuing even through the earthquake recovery years.
